2019 Ram 1500 Vs. F-150 In Ringgold, GA

Mountain View CDJR 2019 RAM 1500 Shop Now

The full-size truck segment is a competitive field. Two juggernauts in this segment are the 2019 Ram 1500 and the Ford F-150. When it comes to styling, the Ram is all-new in 2019. The Ford continues a previous generation's design. When you want a truck that looks rugged and premium simultaneously, the choice is the all-new Ram.

If you are shopping for a new truck, you probably want payload capacity and towing ability. Essentially, a truck that works as hard as you do. Let's take a moment to see if that new truck is the all-new Ram or the 2019 F-150.

Which Is More Rugged?

The 2019 Ram offers a choice of engines. The 3.6-liter V6 produces 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The entry-level F-150 comes up short with a 3.3-liter V6 that only musters 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.

The Ram also boasts a 5.7-liter option. This V8 delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. While the Ford offers a selection of engines for drivers to enjoy, their 5-liter option taps out at 400 lb-ft of torque.

The 3.6-liter Ram also yields a maximum towing capacity of 7,730 pounds. The smaller Ford engine comes close with 7,700 pounds, but the Ram still does more.

If you want horsepower, torque, and towing ability, the choice for you is the all-new 2019 Ram 1500. Find yours at our nearby Ram dealer near Chattanooga and Cleveland.

Who Wins the Battle For the Pump?

When it comes for fuel-economy, these two full-size trucks are quite similar. Similar, however, does not mean identical. So, if they're not identical, which one is better? You guessed it: the all-new Ram once again bests its chief rival from Ford.

The 2019 Ram delivers an EPA estimated 20 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. While the Ford also hits an EPA estimated 25 MPG on the highway, it will only do 19 MPG around town. This is especially important when you consider the Ram engine is delivering more horsepower and torque.
